You've traveled many miles in the last 12 months - 584 million of them, to be specific. As you have been going about the business of your life, you have also been a passenger on planet Earth, and it has covered quite a distance in its annual orbit. It's pretty amazing that we can travel so far on automatic pilot!
Sometimes it can feel like our lives are on automatic pilot too. Unlike Earth, though, we actually have a say in the path that we are following, and how we experience it. The opportunity to chart our own course is often both exhilarating and daunting!
So, as this year begins to wrap-up, it is a great chance to do a check-up.
I'm not talking about the annual check-up that you might do with your health care provider, though that has its merits. Getting an expert opinion on the state of your health can provide useful and sometimes life-altering information.
But you are the expert on your own life and well-being, so I'm suggesting a different kind of check-up. This check-up is focused on giving you insight into living with intention and creating a life that you love. In short — are you on the course that you intend?
I invite you take some time to watch the six-minute video below. Then, consider the questions that follow and write your answers down.
- Where do you feel most alive in your life?
- Where do you feel resigned — like you are "settling"?
- If you could have things be different, what would you change?
- Where are you committed to investing your energy and making a difference?
- How are your current actions aligning with that commitment?
What did you notice? Where do you feel moved to take action? Perhaps you are recommitting to your current path, and are interested in additional ways to support your success. Perhaps you are considering a different course, and desire resources to support changes that you want to make. Wherever you are on your wellness journey, there are things that you can do to keep yourself moving in the direction of your dreams.
A new year is just around the corner. Before we begin our next orbit around the sun, I invite you to chart a course that inspires you and commit to actions that match!
